Many of our white brothers and sisters in America are experiencing rough times. They may have lost a job because of an affirmative action program or perhaps didn’t receive the promotion or scholarship they deserve. Their company may be down sizing with much of the work going overseas. While one income use to be sufficient to raise a family, we have become accustomed to needing two incomes and in many family’s three incomes are now essential.

Whole sections of every major city in the United States is unsafe for white people and small towns are becoming killing grounds where desensitized youngsters raised on praises of abortion in anti Christian environments are now aborting the lives of their peers.

Little children in America’s elementary classrooms sit through discussions of homosexuality, queer role playing, and the rules for safe sex often without their parent’s knowledge. Parent’s are viewed as obstacles to a teen’s happiness if they don’t adhere to a permissive sexual attitude. The family structure is crumbling.

America’s elderly often sit in desperate poverty while billions are sent abroad to other nations. Euthanasia is being cleverly sewn into the social fabric of America. Many purport that if it’s okay to end the life of a chronically ill person than why not an old person who some claim has lived up their usefulness. The sanctity of life is being thrown in the gutter.

Few can argue that America isn’t in danger, but for the most part people have it pretty good – so it seems.

While we have witnessed a mortgage crisis in America, new homes are still being built as many seek to escape the city. And even renters are finding that the mortgage crisis is now giving them more options for housing.

Bright colored speed boats crowd America’s lakes and gigantic recreational vehicles zip along our roadways. Shiny new cars and trucks dot the driveways across the land since the recent “Clunkers” govt. car buying program.

There isn’t much T.V. programming worthy for the whole family to watch, but it’s still pretty funny and can help pass an evening away. If you don’t watch television there are thousands of romance novels, mysteries, and thrillers you can live on.

Keeping up with the newest styles is almost a job in itself and that is on top of keeping up with the Jones’s.

Our computers can link us to parts of the world never imaginable at lighting speed. We can conduct business, research our roots, chat with others, almost anything, but actual conception can happen over the internet. Many people are even becoming addicted to their computers and support groups are now popping up. But all in all, whether it’s for education, business, or entertainment, its a great diversion to real life substance. Practically every home will be on line with in the next 5 years.

And let’s not forget sports – football, basketball, hockey, swimming, golf, roller blading, soccer, and on and on. There is a sport for everyone and it’s great exercise. But most people watch sports, they don’t play sports. If you can’t get enough of it you can buy one of those mini satellite dishes and watch a game 24 hours a day. Many in the pros make more money in a year than it would take to feed an entire small nation dying of starvation. On top of their sports salary they can make additional money by endorsing products made by small children for eighty or ninety cents a day. But still the public can’t get enough of these “heroes”.

Economically, America seems to be on the decline. But folks keep on spending and most aren’t too worried. The billions they spend on entertainment show it. Even America’s poor can watch a sitcom to drown their sorrows or lift their standard of living at a rent -to-own place. Compared to the rich in history, even our modern day poor have it pretty good-running water, refrigeration, microwave ovens, etc.

Yet, few realize they are living on an economic and social fault line and even fewer seem to care. Nobody owns their home, their car, truck, or boat. The bank or mortgage company owns it. Prices aren’t getting lower because the economy is good, but because Americans are losing their jobs and women and children in third world countries get paid virtually nothing for doing the same job. Of course, fast food joints are hiring.

Ownership of American businesses by foreign nations is skyrocketing – but you can still get a value meal at McDonalds for $2.99 and watch the football game so who cares?

Many think that the economic problems aren’t as bad as they have been made out to be. They interpret low inflation and low interest rates as evidence that things are turning around.

What they don’t see is an economy being destroyed by excessive government regulations, an aging work force expecting to retire on government largess, economic suicide hidden behind NAFTA and GATT, and a national attitude that our government can make better economic decisions than private industry can.

The housewife or average worker during the depression era would remember how positive the news was just prior to the crash of ’29. The country was experiencing an all-time high in economic output, and jobs, although low skill, were plentiful. Living standards were rising rapidly, and immigrants were pouring into America, the land of opportunity.

But, the credit industry is thriving. Americans are living on a thin veneer of make believe prosperity. Credit is today’s drug of choice for the student, the homemaker, the small business owner, the entertainer, the ceo, everyone. It lulls us into a false sense of security. It helps to ease the despair we feel over our failing society. It helps us forget the abuses being committed against us.

Homosexuals have marched out of the closets, out into the streets, and into the classrooms. Our children are poisoned by their debauchery, yet we seem to think we can make up for it by a new video game.

Our daughters are taught that murder of the unborn is a natural choice for them and sexual promiscuity is their equal right. When crushed by an illicit relationship or abortion we can always take them to the mall.

Our sons are plagued by pornography and their lack of respect for women accelerate. When they grow into pitiful adults maybe a new boat will make up for their broken marriage.

What will happen when our economy slumps as low as our nation’s morals – when there is no quick fix to alleviate our fears and concerns. So many have been taught that it is the government’s job to make them happy. They forget that the government is to protect their pursuit of happiness, but never is it their job to make them happy.

America is on an economic and moral fault line because they have chosen not to be responsible for their actions. They are tricked into living in a manner they cannot afford and into ignoring problems they should fight.

There is no way of knowing what the future holds. None of us has a crystal ball, yet the Bible gives us good indicators of what to expect when we cease to live by God’s guidelines.

Now it shall be, if you will diligently obey the lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country…The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land and its season and to bless all the work of your land; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord shall make you the head and not the tail, and you only will be above, and you shall not be underneath, if you will listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, which I charge you today, to observe them carefully, and do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to serve any other. (Deut. 28)

But it shall come about, if you will not obey the Lord your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I charge you today, that all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you. Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field…Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy land. The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doing, where thou hast forsaken me…The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting..The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them..thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. ..Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people and thine eyes shall look , and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand. The alien who is among you shall rise above you higher and higher, but you shall go down lower and lower. He shall lend to you but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. So all these curses shall come on you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statues which I have commanded you…So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave…The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, and toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall consume them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness..And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: (Duet: 28)
